On Friday at the Piece Atwood Energy Infrastructure Symposium, keynote speaker and FERC commissioner Cheryl LaFleur offered insight into how she would be considering the recently proposed rulemaking (NOPR) that the secretary of Energy issued last month.

First Look at Sono Motors' Solar and Battery-Powered Electric Car

Considering the reputation of crowdfunding and also the state of the EV startup scene, which hasn't delivered in a while, it's pleasantly surprising to see some actual progress with a new electric car concept. After a successful crowdfunding effort, German startup Sono Motors has unveiled the Sion, a battery-electric car partly powered by solar power with onboard solar cells, earlier this year.

Students at Raymond S. Kellis High School recently worked with professionals from Phoenix-based Green Fuel Technologies to install solar panels and poles for solar-powered lights at the school.

The project was the result of collaboration between building trades teacher Kevin English and Green Fuel Technologies to show his students the job opportunities opening up in the renewable energy industry.
