3. Set custom goals that you want your system to meet (based on budget, available square footage, and usage)
4. Discuss different options (solar PV, solar thermal, lighting, radiant barrier, attic fans, etc.)
5. Discuss how products/systems work to help you make well informed decisions, and alleviate and concerns or misconceptions you may have
6. Explain the installation proccess (how systems are mounted) and the maintenance that goes along with your system
7. Explain the rebates and tax credit you would be eligible for
8. Discuss methods of payment (financial services)
9. Set up an appointment to meet and review quote, answer any questions, and so a quick inspection of your property (space in breaker box, no shading issues, etc.)
10. Sign the contract and put down the deposit

1. Prices are estimates ONLY, final system cost is determined after on-site evaluation is complete and signed off by Project Manager.
2. System prices do not include any additional fees or adders.
3. Additions can include; System Monitoring, Tile Roof, Flat Roof w/Tilt-Up Racking, Multiple Stories, Vent/Fan Relocation, Extra Permit Fee, Service Panel Upgrades, Ground Mounting, Trip Charge, Surge Protector, Battery Back-Up Systems, 12 Month Service Agreement.
4. APS and SRP rebate credits are received by customer after PV system is inspected and commissioned.
5. Green Fuel Technologies will carry the rebate for no additional cost.
6. APS rebate is subject to de-ration based on project specifications. Final rebate amount is calculated after completed on-site evaluation.
7. SRP maximum rebate is $13,500.00 for a total system size of 5 kW.
8. APS and SRP funds must be reserved to guarantee availability.
9. Addition System Sizes Available; Custom Sizing and Commercial Applications
10. State and Federal Tax Credits are the responsibility of the Customer. Green Fuel Technologies does not verify or guarantee personal federal and state income tax credits. Please consult your tax advisor for applicability of tax incentives.
11. Estimated savings are based on average kWh production for typical Phoenix, AZ residence price per kWh rate schedule.
12. Estimated PV system annual production in kWh’s are derived from PV performance in typical Phoenix, AZ conditions. Estimated annual production can vary +/- 10% from yearly values. The values assume that the PV installation is a fixed array, due-south, with a tilt angle equal to latitude.
13. Actual system performance may vary due to site conditions.
14. $1,000.00 Deposit is not refundable after reservation is approved by APS or SRP.
15. Prices, rebates, tax incentives, and system specifications contained in this document are subject to change without notice.

After the contract is signed there is a general timeline (10-16 weeks) with key dates you should be aware of

1. Contract signing, 25 % initial deposit (of total system cost)
2. Site inspection (1-5 days)
3. File utility rebate (1-2 weeks)
4. File for HOA-if applicable-(1-2 weeks)
5. Rebate Approval (2-3 weeks)
6. Interconnection for mailed-sign form and mail back
7. 2nd payment due- 15% system cost
8. In house design & engineering (2-4 weeks)
9. Submit for permits (1-5 days)
10. Interconnection approval (5-7 weeks)
11. HOA approval-if applicable
12. Recieve permits
13. Schedule installation (1-2 weeks)
14. 3rd payment-remaining balance
15. Installation (1-5 days)
16. City/County inspection (1-5 days)
17. Utility inspection (1-4 weeks)
18. System energized!
19. Utility rebate sent-assigned to 3rd party (30-60 days)
20. 6 month system check up

Tips to consider:

• Evaluate a company or two-talk with their sales person and test the level of knowledge they have
• Compare warranties on products
• Check out job experience for the contractor (with about 100 new startups electrical contractors looking for work figure they’ll give solar a shot)
• Be wary of the lowest price bid because this might mean lower quality products
