Quality Policies and Practices

Green Fuel Technologies has worked very hard in developing our policies and practices when communicating to both our customers and our vendors. A customized Customer Relations Manager (”CRM”) provides the needed structure in communicating project time lines, documentations, and milestones. During the development of the Green Fuel CRM, our management team felt it was vital to have a fully transparent system so that both the customer and vendors could view the stages their projects were in. When a new client of Green Fuel Technologies is given their sales contract, they are also given a URL address which allows them access, and see the communications and documents that are created during their project’s construction. This type of transparency makes Green Fuel and our team of professionals accountable for their individual actions, and ensures quality customer service.

Throughout every stage of the renewable energy project, Green Fuel Technologies requires the customers sign off on many items. Solar panel layout, solar panel color, inverter location, and others are required to be signed off and approved by the client. These steps in the project are taken to ensure that the customer is fully aware of what is going on with their project at all times. This accountability on the part of the customer, as well as, Green Fuel Technologies, clarifies any problems that could arise at a later date.
Green Fuel Technologies customer service department staff responds to customer service call immediately. If a customer service issue arises, and customer service case is created within our CRM system, and a call tag is created. Once a call tag is created, the operations department schedules a site evaluation for that same day, or within 24 hours. The Green Fuel representative provides a full system check, as well as documenting all customer issues with digital pictures and written site evaluation notes. This information is downloaded into the customer’s database and the appropriate actions are taken.

In the case of a discovered roof leak, Green Fuel’s customer have a 24 hour, 7 day week phone line to the operation manager for his/her project. If a leak is detected, a Green Fuel representative is on call 7 days a week, and will be at the customer’s home as quickly as reasonably possible. A full site evaluation will be processed to verify the source of the problem and then necessary steps will be taken to remedy the problem.

INSTALLATION INFORMATION

Green Fuel Technologies uses time tested installation guidelines to ensure the highest quality installations. Green Fuel’s installations have received recognition from both the City of Phoenix, and City of Scottsdale. When the City of Phoenix, releases a RFP (Request for Proposal) for solar technologies, it is stated “Green Fuel Technologies or Equivalent”. The City of Scottsdale uses Green Fuel residential and commercial installations as testing facilities when training new inspectors on what to look for in a quality installation. Green Fuel Technologies was also the choice of Solar City when they entered into the Arizona marketplace. Green Fuel performed site audits, design and engineering, utility interconnection, and installation for Solar City for a period of time until they could secure their own contractors license in the State of Arizona.

New installation crew members use Green Fuel training manuals to learn the exact procedures for all aspects of a solar installation. Conduit runs, flashing, finding truss, wire management, and more are all focuses within Green Fuel’s training process. Providing the proper training and keeping a high standard, allows Green Fuel to have consistent quality control even with extra large growth patterns that are occurring within the solar industry today.

Green Fuel procedures start at the official site audit once a sales contract is complete. It is the belief of Green Fuel that a quality installation can only be executed with quality project specific data and research. Green Fuel has dedicated staff for site audits to be completed once a sales contract is signed. Site audits consist of:

Digital pictures Service Entrance Evaluation
Solametric Readings Risk Assessments
Extensive Site Measurements and Drawings Roof Condition Evaluation
Truss Audits Paint Color Samples
Access Details

All of this information is entered into Green Fuel’s custom programmed customer and project management software where it is access by the design and engineering staff. With the attention to detail that is given to the site audit process, Green Fuel’s design and engineering staff can be aware of any shading or installation problems that can arise in the field before they even happen. This forethought is what allows Green Fuel’s installation crews to complete over 6 kW-DC project in just one business day.

Timely installations can only be completed with a well organized project management plan from the very beginning. Green Fuel’s operations staff has over 50 checks and balances when completing a solar photovoltaic project. From the time a project has gone through site audits, into the procurement process, to the installation crew leaving the warehouse, the client’s project has been through at least 5 checks of all required equipment being pulled and placed on installation vehicles. A thorough pre-flight walk through of the project verifies all the required components. All these steps that are taken require more administrative staff than most solar contractors. It is Green Fuel’s belief that with the current administrative support, we can triple our installation capacity just by adding trained installation crews without sacrificing any of our quality and craftsmanship.

Sound Environmental Practices

The foundation of Green Fuel Technologies business is protecting our environment. We source and develop the most advanced green building processes available in the U.S. market today. We remove and recycle all materials that can be reused in other ways from each job site and replace out-of-date items with energy efficient products that will continue to enhance energy cost savings for our clients.

Should hazardous materials ever be involved at our job sites, our construction supervisors are responsible for ensuring our employees and customers are well protected from any harm or misuse of such materials.

Green Fuel prides itself on our commitment to protecting the environment by recycling. In 2009, our company was responsible for recycling 60.6 tons of construction materials from customers’ job sites and daily operations. Materials from paper to copper were collected and repurposed through recycling centers throughout the Valley. Materials included in this effort:

  • Cardboard / Paper
  • Aluminum
  • Copper
  • Steel
